Getting Started
A four-page tour that takes you from creating your Informly account to chatting with your first document and dropping the widget on your site.
Informly is an AI knowledge base that turns your documents, web pages, and connected data sources into instant answers — through chat widgets on your site, voice conversations, and a unified inbox where your team can step in when the AI hits its limits.
If this is your first time, work through these pages in order. The whole thing takes about fifteen minutes and you'll end with a working chat widget you can show off.
1. Sign up
Create your account, verify your email, and turn on two-factor auth.
2. Onboarding
Tell Informly about you and your company so it can set up your organization and trial.
3. Quick start
Ingest a document, chat with it, and embed the widget on a test page.
4. Core concepts
Learn the vocabulary you'll see across the product — organizations, projects, widgets, skills, and more.
What you'll need
- An email address you can receive verification messages at.
- A document you'd like the AI to answer questions about — a PDF, a Word file, or a web page URL works.
- A site where you can paste a
<script>tag to test the widget. If you don't have one handy, a local HTML file works too.
What's next
