Getting Started

Onboarding

Walk through the first-run wizard that collects your details, creates your organization, and starts your fourteen-day trial.

After you verify your email, Informly drops you into a short two-step onboarding wizard. It collects everything needed to spin up your first organization. You can edit any of these answers later from settings.

Step 1 — About you

Informly asks a handful of personal questions:

  • Full name — how you appear to teammates.
  • Country — used for invoicing and routing.
  • Avatar (optional) — up to 5 MB. PNG, JPG, or WebP.
  • How did you hear about us? — helps the team understand which channels are working.
  • What do you want to use Informly for? — pick one or more options (customer support, internal knowledge, lead generation, and so on). Informly uses your answers to suggest a starting template later.

If you joined through a team invitation, the "How did you hear about us?" and "What do you want to use Informly for?" questions are skipped — the answers come from the inviting organization.

Step 2 — About your organization

Next, Informly creates your organization:

  • Organization name (required) — this is what your team and customers see.
  • Description (required) — a short summary of what your organization does. Informly uses this when generating an AI persona for your first widget.
  • Website (optional) — your public URL.
  • Logo (optional) — up to 5 MB. Used on invoices and as the default avatar in chat widgets.

When you submit, Informly:

  1. Creates your organization.
  2. Makes you the owner (see Roles & permissions).
  3. Starts your fourteen-day free trial.
  4. Drops you on the dashboard.

After onboarding

You land on the dashboard with everything unlocked for the trial period. From here, the natural next step is to ingest a document and embed your first widget — see Quick start.

If you'd rather get oriented first, the Core concepts page covers the vocabulary you'll see across the product.
