Team invites
Invite teammates to your organization by email, assign a role, and manage pending invitations and existing members from the team page.
Bringing teammates into Informly is straightforward — type their email, pick a role, send the invite. They get a one-time link in their inbox; clicking it either creates their Informly account or, if they already have one, adds your org to it.
The team page is at Team in the sidebar. Inviting and managing members both happen there.
Sending an invitation
Open the invite form
Go to Team → Invite member.
Enter the email
Type the teammate's email. You can paste a comma- or newline-separated list to invite several people at once with the same role.
Pick a role
Choose Owner, Admin, Editor, or Viewer. Most teammates start as Editor or Viewer — see Roles and permissions for what each role can do.
Send
Click Send invitation. Each invitee gets an email with a one-time link. Pending invitations appear on the team page immediately, with a status of pending.
The invitation link is one-time use and tied to the email address you entered. Forwarding it doesn't let someone else use it.
What the invitee sees
When the recipient clicks the link in their email, one of two things happens depending on whether they already have an Informly account:
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| No account yet | They land on a sign-up form pre-filled with the invite email. After they set a password, they're signed in and dropped into your org. |
| Already has an account | They sign in normally; your org is added to their account. Next time they open the organization switcher, it appears in the list. |
Either way, they land in your org with the role you assigned.
Managing pending invitations
The team page lists every invitation that hasn't been accepted yet. For each you can:
- Resend — sends the same one-time link again (useful if the original got buried or expired)
- Cancel — invalidates the link immediately
A pending invitation expires automatically after 7 days. If that happens, resend or send a fresh one.
Changing a teammate's role
Roles aren't set in stone. Open the team page, click the role column on any member's row, and pick a new role from the dropdown. The change takes effect immediately — the teammate sees the new permissions next time they navigate.
Only an owner can promote someone to Owner. If you're an Admin and need to change ownership of the org, ask the current owner to do it.
Removing a teammate
When someone leaves the team or moves to a different project, remove them from the team page. Open their row and click Remove.
Removal takes effect immediately:
- They're signed out of your org on every device
- Your org disappears from their organization switcher
- Their conversation assignments are released back into the queue
- Any documents they authored remain in place, attributed to their (now-removed) name
Removing a teammate from your org does not delete their Informly account — they still have access to any other org they're in.
Audit trail
Every invitation, role change, and removal is recorded in the org's audit log. If you're trying to figure out who added someone, or when a role changed, look there.
What's next
Switching organizations
Your Informly account can belong to multiple organizations, and you can move between them at any time from the organization switcher.
Roles and permissions
Informly has four organization roles — Owner, Admin, Editor, and Viewer — that determine what each teammate can see and do.
