Appearance
Choose the light or dark theme for the Informly admin UI, set per device, so your workspace matches your environment.
The appearance setting controls how the Informly admin UI looks for you — light theme or dark theme. The choice is personal and per device, so you can keep dark mode on your laptop without forcing it on your phone or a teammate's screen.
Open it from Settings → Appearance.
Picking a theme
Two options:

| Light | Bright rooms, screens with low contrast, design and content work. |
| Dark | Dim rooms, long sessions in the handoff workspace, OLED displays. |
Pick one and the change applies immediately — there's no separate save step.
Open the page
Go to Settings → Appearance.
Click a theme
Click Light or Dark. The admin UI re-themes on the spot.
Per-device, per-browser
The theme is stored against this browser, not your account. That means:
- Switching to a different browser on the same machine starts fresh
- Signing in on another device starts fresh
- A teammate signing in on the same machine in their own browser profile is unaffected
If you want dark on one screen and light on another, that's the default — no special steps required.
Dark mode is easier on the eyes for long agent shifts in the handoff workspace, where you're staring at the queue and active chats for hours at a time.
What this setting does not affect
The appearance setting only changes the Informly admin UI — the screens you and your teammates use to manage projects, widgets, conversations, and so on. It does not change:
- Customer-facing widgets — each widget has its own theme that you configure separately. A customer in a light-themed widget sees a light widget regardless of your admin theme.
- Public preview pages — these follow the organization branding and the widget theme.
- Emails — outbound emails use the org branding, not your personal theme.
In short, your appearance choice is yours alone. Customers and teammates aren't affected by it.
System theme
Informly currently offers two explicit choices — Light and Dark — rather than following your operating system's theme automatically. Pick whichever matches your current environment; switching is a single click.
