Profile

Manage the personal details on your Informly account — name, email, and avatar — separately from any organization you belong to.

Your profile is the personal layer of your Informly account. It travels with you across every organization you belong to, so the name and avatar you set here are how teammates see you in every org. Org-level settings (branding, billing, team) are separate — see Organization settings for those.

Open the profile page from your avatar menu, or go directly to Settings → Profile.

What you can edit

The profile page has three fields:

FieldNotes
NameShown on conversations, comments, notes, and the team list.
EmailUsed for sign-in, notifications, and password resets.
AvatarPNG or JPG, max 5 MB. Square images render best.

Changes save when you click Save changes at the bottom of the section.

Changing your name or avatar

Open the page

Go to Settings → Profile.

Edit the field

Update the name field, or click Upload under the avatar to pick a new image. The avatar preview updates as soon as you select a file.

Save

Click Save changes. The new name and avatar appear in every org you belong to.

Changing your email

Email changes need a verification step so nobody can take over your account by changing the address without seeing the verification message.

Enter the new address

Edit the email field and click Save changes.

Open the verification email

Informly sends a verification link to the new address. Click the link to confirm.

Sign in with the new email

Once verified, the new address is your sign-in identity. Your sessions on other devices stay active.

Until you click the verification link, your old email keeps working for sign-in and notifications. The change is only final after verification.

Deleting your account

The bottom of the profile page has a Delete account button. Deleting your account removes you from every organization you're in, signs you out everywhere, and erases your personal profile.

If you're the only Owner of an organization, you cannot delete your account until you either transfer ownership to someone else or delete the organization. Informly will block the delete and tell you which org needs attention.

To delete:

Clear any sole-owner orgs

If the delete page lists orgs you solely own, either promote another teammate to Owner (see Team invites) or delete the org from Organization settings.

Confirm the delete

Click Delete account and type DELETE into the confirmation box.

Done

Your account is removed. Conversations, documents, and other artifacts you authored remain in their orgs but lose the link to your account.
