Upgrade or downgrade
Change your Informly plan at any time, with prorated charges on upgrade and credit applied to your next invoice on downgrade.
You can change your Informly plan whenever your needs change — more widgets, more documents, more conversations, or the other direction. Changes take effect immediately and Informly handles the proration for you. Go to Billing → Plan → Change plan to start.
The change flow
The flow is the same whether you're moving up, down, or sideways between monthly and annual.
Open Billing → Plan
The page shows your current plan with a Change plan button.
Pick the new plan
The comparison view highlights the differences between your current plan and the one you're considering. Pay attention to the dimensions you're already using heavily.
Confirm
Confirm the change. It takes effect immediately. You'll see the new plan reflected on the page right away.
Upgrades
When you move to a higher plan, Informly charges you a prorated amount covering the rest of the current billing period at the new rate. You don't pay for time you didn't have on the new plan, and you don't lose any time you already paid for on the old one.
An upgrade in the middle of the month will produce a partial invoice. You'll see the math on the confirmation screen before you commit.
Downgrades
When you move to a lower plan, Informly applies a credit to your next invoice for the unused portion of what you paid. The credit reduces the next charge automatically.
There's one wrinkle: if the lower plan's limits are below your current usage, you'll have to remove some resources first.
Informly checks usage against the new plan
On the confirmation screen, you'll see anything that exceeds the new plan's limits — too many widgets, too many documents, too many CRM records.
Remove what's blocking
Delete or archive the resources called out. The list is specific so you know exactly what to act on.
Retry the change
Once usage fits inside the new plan's limits, the change goes through.
Monthly to annual
Switching from monthly to annual locks in the 20% annual discount immediately. The proration math credits you for the unused portion of your current monthly cycle and starts the annual term from the change date.
Switch any time — credit for the unused days on the monthly plan offsets the new annual charge.
Wait until your monthly renewal date to make the math cleaner. You get a full year on annual starting that day.
Annual to monthly
Switching from annual back to monthly takes effect at the end of your current annual term. You keep the annual plan you paid for; the change applies at renewal. If you need to make the switch sooner, contact Informly support.
Cancel instead of downgrade
If you want to stop paying entirely, cancel through the Stripe portal rather than downgrading. See Stripe portal.
